Animations

Across a variety of projects ranging from a small house to an urban campus, these animations are created by Austin White. White emphasizes the importance of showcasing the quality of his work in relation to the allocated time and the period it was created, illustrating his progression throughout his architectural journey. The Digital District is one of White’s latest works with help from his Focus Studio team. In the end, White captured the overall project of The Digital District through his latest animation video. White enjoys the post-production process of projects because he gets the chance to fully showcase what a project has to offer to those who will occupy the space. White is eager for his next opportunity with animations and is open to business inquiries regarding animations and post-production.

DIGITAL DISTRICT: Designed by Studio Team | Video by Austin White Fall 2023 | STUDIO IX

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Digital District Focus Studio represents a cutting-edge undergraduate research initiative. Building upon a foundation of expertise in systems, materials, and building performance, this studio is dedicated to crafting an urban campus in Savannah, Georgia. Our vision is to transform a Savannah lot into a vibrant 'Digital District,' encompassing key elements such as an Auditorium, Amphitheater, Offices with Research and Development Workshops, Residential Living, and a Community Center. Partnering with Curiosity Lab, the Digital District integrates advanced smart systems, encompassing infrastructure, circulation, building performance, drone research, and autonomous logistics, all seamlessly connected through 5G wireless communication. Our expectations for the studio are grounded in a deep understanding of environmental technologies, integrated systems, urban design, and high-performance buildings. The goal is to apply these insights to incorporate smart systems effectively throughout the entire site. Moreover, the studio places a strong emphasis on community engagement, respecting the rich history of Savannah as America's inaugural planned city. While acknowledging the charm of Oglethorpe's design, which featured streets entwined with inviting public squares and parks, the Digital District seeks to contemporarily adapt these foundational concepts. Our aim is to infuse the historical legacy into the fabric of the district, transforming this waterfront site into a modern embodiment of the Savannah experience.

B.A.M. (Boulder's Adventure Museum): Designed by Team Metromont | Video by Austin White | Project Precast 2024-Denver Colorado

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Designed and produced in 48 hours!!! Boulder Colorado, Such an iconic city that emphasizes and celebrates the outdoors, adventure, and activity. Here at team Metromont we believe Boulder needs a museum for the area that celebrates these adventures through exhibition. With that being said, we present to you BAM! Boulder’s Adventure Museum. When learning about this project, we knew we were modifying a current park in Boulder. A park space that people enjoy at all times of the day. With the requirements asked from the client for this project. We knew as a team we wanted to value the existing park while satisfying the clients needs. Doing this by not placing one single building on the site but breaking that boundary and grouping our programs into three separate buildings on the site. These buildings are our water and snow buildings. Our air, rock, and dirt building. And our main building that contains our lobby, a shop, our overall exhibition gallery, and the café, which features our wow factor in this project. This café space is elevated over a mini pond which can be seen on the floor within the building, and it includes an amazing viewing area of the beautiful flat iron mountains. This cluster of buildings of our program allows users to be curious and want to explore the indoor and outdoor aspects of the site. Through a mix of users coming into the site, they will be able to visit the exhibition spaces or partake in community activity within this iconic cluster of buildings. This project features precast members throughout our whole site, including within our facade, floors, roof, and columns.

NATURE'S ARTISTIC BALANCE: By Austin White | Fall 2023 | STUDIO IX

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Beauty can be found ubiquitously, but the most captivating form of beauty is found in our natural environments. As architects, we are often inspired by nature’s biological principles, which we then express through the beauty of architecture. "Nature Artistic Balance" is a conceptually bio-inspired building located in the heart of Savannah, Georgia. This building draws inspiration from nature’s most common element: a rock. The distinctive feature of this design is its interpretation of rock balancing, a practice sometimes seen in national parks where visitors stack rocks from a river. "Nature Artistic Balance" mimics this practice. In its design process, the initial stages involved stacking rocks, followed by modifications to meet Savannah’s requirements for an innovative Living Laboratory.

MODI STATION: Designed by Urban Team | Video By Austin White | Spring 2023 | STUDIO VIII
